Spiritual Direction

Brenda WarshamSpiritual Director Brenda Worsham is a member of Spiritual Directors International and The Church of the Holy Mount.  Brenda was trained at St. Thomas Theological Seminary in Denver and Stillpoint, The Center for Christian Spirituality, based out of Los Angeles.  She considers herself to be a Contemplative Companion.  Her spiritual approach is through contemplative practices and enjoys companioning others on their inner journeys.

Spiritual direction is the process of accompanying people on their spiritual journey. Spiritual direction exists in a context that emphasizes growing closer to God (or the holy or a higher power). Spiritual direction invites a closer relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human. Spiritual direction offers a place to explore prayer practices, meditation, spiritual experiences, and our growing desire for experiencing the love of the Divine.  Spiritual direction is not psychotherapy or counseling, Spiritual direction is specific to your spiritual journey. Taking into consideration your unique personality and temperament, spiritual direction is a place to reflect on how to pray, your ongoing or unfolding spiritual practices, and the stages of spiritual development in the life of a sincere seeker. Like prayer, contemplation and meditation, spiritual direction nourishes the spiritual aspect of being human, allowing us to serve with authenticity and grateful heart.  Spiritual Directors are formally trained in the art of deep listening. All conversations are confidential and follow the guidelines of Spiritual Directors International.
