In the Episcopal Church the “Vestry” is a committee elected by members of the congregation to serve in managing the temporal affairs of the church.  Temporal affairs of the church include finances, events, repairs, outreach ministries, etc.  There are generally 9 members plus clergy.  Members serve for three years.
