Diocese

The Episcopal Church in Lincoln County is part of the Diocese of the Rio Grande, and is located in the Southeast Deanery. The Diocese of the Rio Grande includes all of New Mexico and Texas west of the Pecos River.

A diocese is the district or churches under the jurisdiction of a bishop. In the Episcopal Church, each diocese sends delegates to the General Convention of the Epsicopal Church which is held every three years. The Episcopal Church is also a member of the world wide Anglican Communion.

The Episcopal Church of Lincoln County is part of the Southeast Deanery of the Diocese of the Rio Grande. Deanery meetings are held three times a year, sometimes at the Church of the Holy Mount.
